Founded in 2015, the Beirut Art Residency is a non-profit association that is committed to creating opportunities for international and local artists through residencies, local exhibitions and public interventions. The residency program is dedicated to providing emerging and established international artists with the time and space to create new work.
BAR Project Space opened in September 2017 to serve as a platform to exhibit the work of local and international artists. The works shown in the Project Space are for sale and are usually either of an experimental nature or outside the artists’ regular practice.
Proceeds retained by BAR are reallocated to help fund the residency program.
