In the hands of Arab and Muslim artists since the twelfth century, it evolved into a medium of expansive expression, fluidly navigating beyond doctrinal boundaries. Reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, its form is revived and recontextualized, simultaneously honoring the enduring rhythms of Arab heritage and engaging in a dialogue with the present.
